Our love for Scottish musicians is well-documented on this site, and I have a feeling this guy is going to be no exception. I Build Collapsible Mountains is also known as the solo project of Luke G Joyce, a Scottish dude who signed to Seattle’s Burning Building Recordings and will release his LP, The Spectator and The Act, on October 11th! No, this isn’t our first post from Seattle locals The Head and the Heart, but their self-titled debut album is one everyone should be listening to. This live version of Rivers and Roads especially showcases their ability to harness raw emotion, particularly when Charity heart-wrenchingly wails “Rivers and roads, oh rivers and roads til I reach you” at about 3 minutes in- sure to bring a tear to the eye of anyone who has struggled with feeling separated from loved ones.
